We are a gym centered on the philosophy of GOD, FAMILY, CROSSFIT! What does that mean? Well above all we put Christ our Lord and Savior above all else. We have an awesome atmosphere for the whole family, and of course we are totally CrossFit junkies. So what is CrossFit really? Great question….
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. The needs of Olympic athletes and the elderly differ by degree not kind.
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and NO sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstands, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. ROUTINE IS THE ENEMY. Keep workouts short and intense.
Founded by Coach Greg Glassman in the late 1990s in Santa Cruz, California, CrossFit has spread like wildfire across the fitness world. It has become the principal strength and conditioning program for military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
CrossFit workouts are functional, varied and intense. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.
CrossFit is called “The Sport of Fitness” because it re-introduces personal athletic achievement and performance to training. Most of our workouts are timed. The faster you can do them the fitter you are becoming. It is that simple. The mindset at the start of each workout is to be stronger, move faster, more efficiently, with better form. Even after years of training CrossFit, scores and times in workouts continue to drop and athletes continue to improve. It′s hard, fun, exciting, challenging, and will push you to be your absolute best!
You will never see the same workout for at least six weeks. That means you will never get bored and most importantly it does not give your body the chance to plateau. Our workouts last anywhere typically from 20-45 minutes and will punish even the fittest people on the planet. Done 3-5 times a week they get you into the best shape of your life.
